Thanks to Starlight Foundation we be eble to go to Great Wolf Lodge: biggest wather park we been to LOLWe all had blast there and kids stayed in the water prettymuch ALL whole stay except the night time ;-)

Wow it's been 9 month since last post.
Anna is been doing great!!!! She had her labs done every month and everything stays pretty much where they should be with little slight here there.
This Summer we had my mom visiting us for 2 whole month. This is her first tme in 16 years.... Where the time go...

We all loved having her here, she is the best!!! There was a little problem with language for my kids, but they be eble to communicate with her. We hopping she will be eble to come again soon and might just move here.
I will post few pictures what we been up to this whole time.

We praying that 2011 will be better with no hospital stay, less labs and have better year we ever had!!

Here is some update from our last check up we had early this week:
Anna's labs are doing well, they did found out that her platelets are deformed, they would like to repeat that test to confirm that results are correct. When platelets are deformed they can't clot properly and it makes any small cuts to bleed. If that will confirmed, then we will have to follow with oncologist. We also still waiting to see neurologist.
So beginning of the year it will be a little busy, then i hope we will be done with doctors ;-)

Last weekend Anna had her competitions level5. She did it very well got score 31.775 and now she is can work out level 6 and be ready to compete this level in February.

Tomorrow Anna has appointment with hematologist up at Doernbecher. This will be our first visit official with him, he did met us before several time wile Anna was admitted and he want to order some testing, in order to get them done Anna had to be off her treatments. Now that she is off the treatments it is better time to get some testing running.
I will try to update tomorrow night or on wed. how the appointment went

Anna is been doing well, some time she has some sign that shows, that she will get relapse, but by that evening everything goes away. She still struggling to keep her iron up, as soon as it goes up it drops back down. There are some other concerns we have, but i don't have permission from Anna to share until we know for sure what is going on.

Anna is back in Gymnastics and love it!!! She did had hard time at the beginning, as she took almost 2 yr brake, but now she is full time and ready for competitions. Anna is selling Entertainment books 2011 to cover her competitions cost. Let me know if u would like to get one!! They are $25 thanks

This summer we had awesome vacation at the Caring Cabin. This is awesome place for kids and families to relax and enjoy. We be able to invite our friends to stay with us, we had total 15 people.

We been enjoying summer this year, we trying to keep kids us busy us we can. Last 2 years been home, hospital, home, because of Anna's treatments. This summer we been doing everything what normal family will do in HOT days SWIMMING. How nice to be eble to go and do stuff with out thinking that someone can't.
First in June Louisa and i took trip to see my mom for her 60th Birthday. It was a BIG surprise for my mom we never told her that we coming to visit her and will be there for her celebration, the most fun part was every one in Russia knew i will be there and made effort to make it for the celebration.

I didn't see my mom for 5 years and it is been too long, i promised to her i have to see her every year if i can and not every 5.

Anna is been doing well and back to gymnastics. She is very excited to see her friends and getting ready for competitions, they will be starting in October. She did had few colds and we were happy to see that didn't trigged her AHUS. We will have to keep close eye on her once she starts school. Everyone here is excited to go back to school next week and i will have 2 kids in High school, Anna will be in middle and Misha will be in his last year elementary. Time goes soo fast.

It is been almost a month since i post anything on my blog. We all been doing well we have some surprise coming up i can't post it here because my family checks this blog ( Sorry Sasha and Mom). I will try to get surprise pictures as soon as it will happen. Here are few updates that been going on in our family

Anna is doing well staying away from her treatments and enjoying gymnastics. We finding out several things that i will have to bring it up on our next doctor appointment, one of them is allergic hives in the last few weeks.

Misha is in outdoor school this week and will be coming home tomorrow. Last week he did Awesome 3000 run. He been looking forward to run and can't wait for next year.

Enoch is finishing his middle school and trying to decide where he wants to do hight school at the North or Chemeketa collage. In collage hight school he can take hight school classes and collage at the same time and will graduate early.

Louisa is finishing her 10th grade, enjoying babysitting and can't wait for planted surprise to come.

Another we saw a baby possum and kids wanted to keep it as a pet. Well we decided to let them look at it and take few pictures ;-)

Spring brake going here like crazy!!!
Kids staying up, having friends over or going for visit.
I got all their conferences done and they are doing very well in school. Misha is very proud being TAG student in his class, so he is exited for extra stuff he get to do, like his older brother.
Enoch went to Seattle just for one night with his band class and should be back late tonight.
Anna finally got to swim at Kroc center and she is planning to swim whole next week.

Anna will be getting her labs done next Wednesday and she really doesn't want to get pocked again. Her next appointment is in May, but we will be continue get her labs to make sure her blood and kidney staying well.

Since Sunday everyone taking turn with 24hr flu. Anna started with one last night and was still wasn't feel good this morning we had to get her labs done and they ARE STILL GOOD. Right now it is almost 3 and she is doing good and ready to meet Blazers team with her dad, other kids want to go too , but this time only for Anna and one adult, i will post pictures later tonight when they get back. Misha has concert tonight and claiming he is well to go and participate in it and doesn't want to miss it.
Other news if u not following my Facebook Harlan finally got a job and starting tomorrow night!!! It is been long 5 month of searching for one ;-)

Anna is home

In last two weeks Anna been having problems with her central line untill last weekend it was really started getting more worse. I had to pick up Anna from school on Monday and take her to Doernbecher hospital, for check up and culture of her line. On Tuesday morning Anna went to school and stayed there untill she was done with her school. During lunch time i received call from Anna's doctor telling me that she has STAFF infection and that they need to admit her and remove line on next day. I waited untill she was home and we were on the way there, Anna was soo exited to get her line out and she seemed didn't care that there is more danger for her to have infection, but what can u expect from a kid who wants do what other kids can, JUST BE NORMAL. She was soo happy all evening and was telling all her nurses that she will get her line out ;-) Later that evening i ask to see her labs results from Monday visit and find out that her kidney levels, not where i would like to see them. I requested to get extra labs in the morning, so we can be sure nothing going on and her kidney level got to normal range. BY that afternoon she got her line out played BINGO and they got to send us home to finish antibiotics. Right before we got discharged lady from Life Child her name Kim cam and ask if we can go to Blazers game. We never took our kids to Rose Garden to watch games and with Anna is wasn't sure if she will up, but we decided give a try we can leave if she will get worse.

I think we had most amazing evening with our kids. They placed us in SUITS, those are rooms for private parties. When we walked in our eyes got VERY BIG. I didn't even know that in the stadiums have rooms like that.

It was fun night, everyone were tired and Anna got to watch all the way with some pain medications.
For the rest of the week Anna staying home to get her line area heal, she can't wait to go back to school on Monday ;-)

Anna is been doing well, we had to stop her antibiotics because of allergic reaction she had. She is only few days away from getting her line out. She talks a lot about what she will be able do specially go to KROC center swimming. We all excited for her, but in the back of my mind sometime i can hear "what if" it is been long journey and when in the past when they got her line out she was back with in few weeks and start treatments all over. We are praying everyday that this time it won't happen it is been over a year since she got this line and it is time to stop and have normal life.
This week Anna got to see Lilly this two girls love each other, worry about each other if one of them sick or in the hospital, understand what they going true, fighting their own diseases that don't have cure for it, but they are ALWAYS have smiles ;-)

Anna got to ride horse this week, she LOVES them and would like to have one for her self.

Anna had unexpected ER visit last night. She started running fever i made phone call to doctor on call David. He decided to save our time and send us to local ER. Why sometimes i don't listen to my self? I was thinking what is the right choice to take her in. From one view i didn't wanted to drive an hour to children's hospital to her her cultures done. My doctor was saying the same thing and it was ok to go to local hospital even in the past we had problems there. They don't know Anna's condition apparently they don't know how to take culture (figure that one).
When we got there they took us straight to ER room, but when we saw the doctor J. (she always misdiagnosed Anna before) there, Anna's eyes went BIG and was trying to whisper IT IS HER AGAN. I told Anna lets just give her a chance she will contact our doctor and everything will be ok.
Because of Anna's fever our dr. David wanted to get cultures done one dose IV antibiotics and then go home. Anna's line has 3 lumen and each of them has to be cultured. When nurse came with one bottle i told her " Aren't you will do culture from each lumen?" her answer was "NO doctor J ordered only ONE it is one line and just has 3 ends, it will be ok, there is NO difference". Anna got her antibiotic and we were released to go home to finish her medication orally at home. This morning i give her first dose and she broke up in HIVES, i had to page dr David. We talk for awhile tried to decide what medication she should take untill we get results, so i explain him what happen in the ER he felt so bad that he recommended me go to local ER. Yes they were supposed to get Anna's culture from each lumen, so we know where is her infection. The results that we are waiting for will not be correct.
Now that she is already taking antibiotic, there is no point to do another culture, so Anna will take antibiotic for 6 days.

Anna is been doing well. She went 4 weeks with out any problems, so our plan will continue another 4 weeks, then possibly, to get her line out right after she is done. We will be just watching her how she does, if she will need it another treatment, then she will be getting another line. Anna is very excited to get her line out and get in the pool ;-) My worry is in the past 2 years they tried to get her line out and she will relapse right before or right after. She had hard time because of thinking that she can't do some stuff and just an idea of having AHUS. Right now she has hope that in 4 weeks this all will be over and she is talking about what she will be able to do and just be a kid with no boundaries. I am praying that this will happen and her heart won't be brok

For last few day's Anna been sick with cold. TONZ of runny nose and head ache. We were worried about her getting relapse. We so thankful that her labs remaining normal, but her urine labs shows lots of blood trace there and some protein. Tomorrow we might be going to see our doctor and on Wednesday she has her treatment.
I will post more update after Anna's treatment.
Please continue to pray for Haiti and specially for Orphanages and kids that being adopted, to get them to their families!here in US!!

I been in Haiti twice with my friend and praying someday i can go back there. My friends was bringing her son, so we be able to stay at his orphanage and visit other one NLL at Port-A-Prince. Since then we have desire to go back as missionary, i been following few blogs and stay in touch with few families that working there.

Two sisters running clinic and take care of very fragile sick kids.
They have about 70 sick kids and also they running clinic for everyone who needs medical help. For last 2 night they have to sleep outside and their worries right now, how to feed babies, they running out of infant formula.

Anna's first professional hair cut

For Christmas our family received gift card for hair style for everyone, so i decided to take girls there. We made that to be special day, i got girls off school and we headed over to Avalon salon. It is very small place, but ladies there know what they doing. They been working there for a long time. The lady we met she been doing for 14 years. It is pretty cool story, they learn from my friend that Anna has medical condition and they decided to bless our family with hair cuts.

Our holydays went very well, last year Anna was admited in the hospital during this time and it was hard to be apart. This time we all together and had so much fun just stay home and play games.

Few days before New Year we had first snow and it lasted only one day.

On the New Year eve we had friends stayed overnight. It was lots of fun, they took us out to movie, then we got home just on time to celebrate New Year.

First we want to say thank you everyone with helping collecting Webkinz. After Anna's treatment on 23rd we went visit 9th floor at Doernbecher and give out Webkinz that we collected. I was a little worry about that we will be short on it, but it was just right!!

This time they had party at Embassy sweets Hotel in Portland. There was loooong table of desert and ice cream and they had Chocolate Fountain ;-)

We getting ready to leave and go spend time with my sister in law and Harlan's parents.
We are thankful to all of you friends for your prayers and support we won't be were we are. Anna is doing amazing, staying healthy. I don't know if you remember in the beginning of this year she was on treatments 3 days a week and now she is every 3 weeks. Pretty soon she will be on once every month and then plan was to stop right before her 12th birthday.

We had great week.
Anna's shoes story went on the newspapers and our local news.
She had her treatments last Wensday and it went well. Her labs staying good and she will continue treatments every 3 weeks, then eventually we will do every 4 weeks.

Last weekend Anna's and other 5 kids desidners shoes are finally out in stores. Kids had fun metting again last friday at Nike campus and sign posters and shoes for employee at the Nike campus.

On Saturday afternoon we went to watch play in Portland Childrens theater "Charlie and Chocolate factory" with Starlight Foundation family's. There usually about 10-15 families. Starlight Foundation almost every month provides family's with outings.

Then we went to visit Niketown store, it was just down the street from theater. It was fun meeting employee's there;-)

Today i will do post about Give Kids The World.

We love that place and hope some day we will be able to go back there. It is place for Make a Wish families each family stays that they call Villa

Every morning they had meet with characters from Disney World and Universal studio.

Everyday we loved go get some ice cream . We never could pass by with out get one ;-)

We had meals in Gingerbread house. They have lots of toys on their shelves and tables covered with peppermints.

I will try to post everyday this month and tell you what i am thankful for ;-)

Anna finally went back to school on Tuesday after been home for over a week, but still has some cough.
Anna's shoes will be out with in 10 days it will be available on line at www.nike.com and Nike stores all purchase will go directly to Doernbecher children hospital. Tomorrow Anna will be interviewed by our local news paper Statesman Journal and next week on Friday she will be all over news.
I am thankful to have wonderful husband and kids ;-)

I hope everyone had very good Halloween.
Anna and Enoch stayed home and Louisa took Misha out for Trick or treat. ;-)
After they got back, we just set ate candy and watched movie. We had some kids knocked on our door, but we just ignored. We was thinking to put sign on the door "Welcome to Swine Flu house", but we didn't ;-)

This new Swine flu is not fun at all. Anna is now sick and on Tamiflu. Sometimes she still runs very low fever, but her cough doesn't sound getting better. She will probably miss another week of school. I will be taking her to get labs done this coming Wednesday, to make sure that still staying good.

Enoch still sick and getting better very slow. He finish his Tamiflu meds but still has really bad cough, we hopping on Monday or Tuesday he will be able to go school. Misha and Louisa are doing well, but Louisa never got sick with this and Misha was back to school with in 2 days.

Anna is been doing well, but our family not so well and needs prayers...
God did provide to pay our car payment ;-)
Harlan still looking for job, bills are piling up. Unemployment didn't started yet they refused it, because he was on Make a Wish trip with us. Hopefully it will start up next week.
Enoch is sick with Swine flu, Louisa is in pain, trowing up and in all this we have to hide Anna away from all sickness going on. Doctors are trying decide if they want give Enoch TummyFlu medicine, because there is shortage in supplies.
I think i will keep our other kids home from school next week, so no one will catch anything else.

We went to Sea World

It was awesome place we got to see Shamu show, Anna loves it we had get her BIG Shamu to take it home.

We got to feed Dolphins and watch their show,

Even we got to enjoy the thunderstorm
Louisa even went to get wet, when everyone been told to get inside.

We got back to GKTW had dinner and then they had BIG Christmas party.

On the 7th day we had to check out at Give Kids The World (i will make other post about that wonderful place) and head home. Our trip home went very smooth, when we got home Tilly was home and waited for us. When i open suitcases, she jump straight in and didn't want let me do any unpacking and claiming all the toys ;-)

Today we went to ride horses before breakfast. Three of the kids got on it, but Louisa didn't wanted. I don't think she ever did it, one time she tried and got really bad allergic reaction, so now she doesn't go close to them.

Then we went off to Universal Studio!!!
Kids loved that best, more crazy rides and shows. Misha went almost to all of them on the first BIG roller coaster he wasn't sure about it and wanted to stay behind with me(mom). When we got on our sits he was ok, but then he saw daddy getting off and he wanted to be out, but it was too late it start going. He survived the ride with his eyes closed ;-)

We even went to see Jaws ;-)

We spend there first half a day, then we went to explore Island of Adventure.

This morning we were up by 7 and went to greed Characters from Nickelodeon in the Castle of Miracles

Got our breakfast and went on mission to accomplish 3 parks in one day.

Disney Kingdom-- to find Tinkerbell that was Anna's main wish to meet her.

Misha LOVED meeting with STITCH;-)

On the way out we met with Chip and Dale. Those two decide to discipline Misha's Stitch ;-)

Epcot- kids loved the car test ride, it was crazy ride i hope i never get on car accidents ;-)
Kids made video games, Mission space, Soarin, Living with the land.

Hollywood studio- We made to Tower of Terror, hit all the rides there and watched Fantasmic.

I had to get our kids up by 7, so the kids could get their showers done and be out the door by at least 8
This morning our village had guest come to meet kids and sign their books.
It was Mickie, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Marry Poppins.

We got Anna's book signed, got our pictures taken then we went to eat our breakfast on off to Disney Kingdom!!

It was another park and it is awesome. Before we even entered there we had group of animals came out to greed just Anna and our other kids, they even didn't even let other kids to come to say HI to them the security kept telling them this is private party LOL

After we went to bed soo late we had to get up at 7am and it is different time for us 3 hr. In Salem it would be 4am u can imagine how our kids were. We went and had awesome breakfast at Gingerbread house it was awesome dining area with full of toys from every country above your heads and tables have peppermint candy's.

After breakfast Harlan went to orientation to get all our park passes, wile waiting for him we went explore place a little bit,

We had great time, kids got to ride in every ride there. Anna had special pass it allow us go with out waiting in line.

We got back by dinner time and ready to play Biggest Candy Land game and met there Gingerbread and Snow Flake princess

Make a wish: day 1

First day was pretty much traveling to Disney World.

We got to the airport by 9:30 left our car at VIP parking. Got our boarding passes and off we went. Going thru security kids had fun, because Daddy kept telling everyone to empty out their pockets and guess who forgot to do so? Harlan, he forgot that he has low pockets and had cell phone there. Kids love airplanes rides as soon we got on it everyone made sure they had something to chew, so it won't hurt their ears wile plane was going up and during landing. We had to switch airplanes in Atlanta, Anna and Misha got to meet pilot and check out his cabin then we made it to Florida.

We got there around 11:45 pm it was HOT, we had greeting person waiting for us and helped us to get our luggage and our car. Everyone loved that car and wished we had that one at home ;-)

and then tried to figure it out where is what for buttons, everything is automatic then finally we were on our way to Give The Kids World. On the way there we had to go thru TOLL stops were we had to pay. There was 2 toll stops, one of them u had have exact change and u just trow your coins it reminded us seeing those on the movies. It took us only about 20-25 min get to our place and it was already after 12AM. We went checked in, got our house and we were ready for bed ;-)

Wow, the day is finally here. We are off to Disney World for Anna's Make a wish trip. We don't know if we will have Internet access there, but even if we do we won't have a time to update here. Watch for updates next weekend

We just found out that Harlan lost his job, so that puts us in major financial problem with our bills.
We still going to Anna's Make a Wish trip and i know we will have blast, then we have to come back to reality to find job for my husband. Please keep us in your prayers and pass our need to your friends.
Right now our house is going crazy, all the kids are excited and start count out days. Some packing going on and deciding what to wear LOL, it is only will be 7 day trip.

Well it is been few weeks since i update it. We been busy with everyday stuff and getting ready for our BIG trip.

Anna had her Make a Wish granted ;-)

We had big Party over at Bullwinkles and it was fun.

I know all of you been waiting to see Anna's new shoes, they will be out on November 1 at NIKE towns and Nike stores on line.
She did amazing job creating them, she put so much details of what she loves the most. Here are some pictures for you to see ;-)

It is been great school week.
Anna is in middle school and loves it. First two day's it was a little frustrated with the school bus, because or they came to early or they run late. For last two days it been no problems with them. Other thing it's for Anna try to adjust to her school schedule, last year she barely made it to school maybe 2 day's a week and this year are plan to miss one day a week ;-) She likes most of her teachers, except having trouble with language arts. Anna saying she talks to fast and the ones who can catch up with the teacher they get help. There is some things i have to make sure that teacher understand is her health i have to make sure what papers i sign. Like one she give me that saying she will be grated as normal child, but i can't sign that one as she on 504 program that allows her to do as much work as she can and not what the requirements from teacher and be graded differently.
Louisa is excited to get back to school and just be with friends. Big thing she got surprised was, that she got homework on first day of school, she went on and on complaining about it " WHO gives homework on first day? " LOL
Enoch in his last year middle school, well he is not too excited, but he is excited to start football. He wants to do homeschool, but with everything going on it just won't work.
Misha is in 4th grade the youngest kid there (he went from K to second grade) He has male teacher and he likes it. He even didn't want me to go to his class on first day, but he does wants me to drive there.

Tomorrow we have Starlight, we will be going watch movie. Kids are excited, specially Anna she will get to see her friends Carrissa and Cheyenne. Next few weekends will be SOO busy, we have Nike and Make a Wish going away party and then our trip.

We been getting ready for school to start next week. Anna had open house at her school and we went and met all her teacher. She will be starting middle school we do have some concerns about her be there, but we will give a try. She very excited to start and make more friends.
Anna's treatment went well with no problems, but we didn't get to see our doctor. We hoping to see her on our next visit. We did met with our students doctors who took care of Anna last year, when she was admitted. It was good to see them, they have only this year left of residency. We hoping they will still stay with Doernbecher and OHSU!!! Right Jasdeep and Tammy?? ;-)
After treatment we went to friends house and later that day Anna found out that her line is missing cap. We didn't know how long it is been missing or how it got lost, but it did, this is second time happen in 2 month. We did let doctor on call know what happen, but didn't got any antibiotics to prevent infection. I don't know how long it will take to get, but we praying that it won't happen. We have lots of things going on this month and we don't need any infections that is for sure.

Other kids are doing well. Louisa and Enoch got to go to State fair and they had blast. Misha's Birthday coming up next week, he will be 9yr. old Wow my baby is getting BIG.

You remember we lost one of our birds, so one day we got a call that one bird needs home we got it. She is very tame and loves everyone. We hope her tail will grow very soon ;-)

Our friend Kegan is doing ok, he got his second chemo dose. He still not eating or drinking and her is on feeding tube 24/7 please continue to pray for him.

Hi everyone,
First i want to tell u thanks for your prayers and support.
We had very busy and emotional week, because our family friend found out that their nephew Kegan has very aggressive cancer. We went to visit him several times and he got his first chemo last Friday.

Anna is been doing well still continue to get treatments every other week. Only concern we have she is been complaining that her head hurts, if it will be continue i will have to take her up to Doernbecher before her treatment day on Thursday.
Anna will be attending middle school this year, there she will be moving from one classroom to the other and that can be easier to become sick. If she will be having health problems, then we will have to homeschool her. She will be riding special medical bus and she is not excited about it. Anna want to be treated like normal and nothing happening with her, but right now it is not an option. Maybe next year;-)
September is our very busy month and we need Anna stay healthy for all things she has coming up.

Louisa can't wait to be back in High school to see her friends, i can't believe she will be in 10th grade. Enoch will be in 8th grade and Misha is in 4th. Enoch is not sure about going back to school he would love to homeschool, but that is not an option right now. Misha is been funny walking around saying to everyone that he wants to be TAG student (Talent and Gifted) LOL

We went to the Zoo last wed. it was fun, they had special day only for families with medical life threatening conditions. They had awesome stuff for the kids and free train rides for everyone.

Anna had her treatment yesterday it went very well. There is not much changes except that her HCT went a tiny bit down, but there no concerns on that. She still has her mysterious rash, dr. think her skin is very sensitive to everything, so we will just keep eye on it;-)
Last week Anna, Misha, Enoch and I went to Camp Lane for whole week. I was kids camp and i was be able to help there, i am not ready to send Anna for whole week with out me and also she was need it to flush her lines everyday
All kids had blast there even with some limits, that Anna had, she be able to have fun.

Please pray for our dear friend and single mom to 3 beautiful boys. She noticed that her oldest son lost a weight and took him to the doctor. They send them to local hospital and from there they transfer him to Doernbecher Children hospital. He is 13 yo. and his name Kegan.
Also Anna will have her treatments and labs done today.
I will update later today after Anna's appointment.

Anna is been doing well with her treatments going every other week. Anna did however developed some kinda rash our doctor is not that concerned about it.
Next week Anna, boys and I will be going to kids cam for 5 days. We praying that she will stay healthy with no problems. Anna decided not to bring swim suit as she knows she can't get wet ;-) Less thing for me to worry about.
On Saturday we went to participate in Air Challenge, this is wonderful organization they let kids to get on airplanes for 15-20 min. and let them experience the flight and let them steer it. Anna had to choose who will go with her and she decided to take Louisa and Hailey. Also my friend be able to come with her kids as she has 2 kids with special needs and my boys got to ride with one of them. Everyone got a blast day and can't wait to do it again next year. Anna want to make sure that next year mommy gets to got with her ;-) They got to do some other stuff, building things, riding special bikes. They they got BIG balloons i think they call them weather balloons, we tried to get them in the van. It was fun ride home

Anna is been doing well, Our doctor is back from vacation and prescribed her antibiotic to prevent any infections. Anna will have her treatment this Wednesday we praying that her labs will stay good, so we can continue go every-other week.
We had great weekend.
1. We had family reunion:
We went to Waterloo park to see everyone. Most of the families stayed at camp site whole last week. We just went for the day on Saturday and everyone had a blast. Kids didn't want to leave. We will try go overnight next year.

They had California Pizza Kitchen provided dinner for everyone. There was 15 families. Kids had lots of fun and they won some prizes ;-)

Urgent prayer request:

Anna's cap from one of her lines came off and we don't know how long it is been gone. There is concerning that she might get blood infection in the next few days. There is nothing we can do on our side it just to pray that it won't happen.

Just want to let everyone know and keep Anna in your prayers

Anna will be skipping her treatments this week for the first time since January and we going every other week. Last week her labs showed that that her HCR went down a little. Usually when it goes down they give her Epogen(to help her build up her blood cells), but they didn't. I am worry about what her labs will be this week (we will get them done here local so we don't have to drive to DCH) and our doctor is on vacation until end of this week. Also her line area is giving a problems and we have to change her dressing everyday.
Yesterday at our church Anna went to ask pastor Mike to pray for one of her friends and also received prayer for her healing. Some people came up and give her very strong WORD about her going out and pray for her friends at the hospital.
Also Anna is asking to pray for her two friends who is very sick, their names Lilly (she has cancer) and BriAnna she has CF

We got a letter today, we officially going to our trip for Anna's Make a Wish in October. Can u guess where she is going? She is been waiting for it since January when we applied. We didn't know if her dr.A will let her go, because of limits. Our dr.A is more excited to sign all her papers and let her go have fun!!.
Anna is been doing well and staying healthy with treatments. Next week we will be going on every other week and see how she will do. Now that i am been thinking about our dr.A decision i am OK with it and we all praying that she won't relapse when they will stop her treatment. If her body does get relapse then research group will be starting taking kids for study and Anna will be receiving new medication. It is very promising, there are few people that already taking it and they doing great. We been following their updates and so far they didn't need plasma treatment or any hospital stay.

We been enjoying stay out of hospital and just have normal days of summer play. Other kids been doing well, but Misha sometimes still gets jealous on Anna getting more attention then him and he decided he wants to be sick too. We had long talk with him to help him understand, that hospital is not the play u want to be. We are trying to get some times with each kid, so that way they don't felt left out.

I hope everyone had awesome 4th July!!!
We had wonderful time with our friends and following day trip to American Idol concert.
Anna is been doing well with weekly treatments and will be going to every other week starting July 15. Doctors also reduce her blood pressure medications ;-).
Our plan for now is to finish her treatments sometimes in the fall. Doctors hope that when we will stop she won't go in to relapse for awhile maybe year or two, even when last time they tried to stop it came back with in 3-4 weeks. If she will go in relapse, then our hope that research will be available and she be able to get new medication. If she relapses again with in 3-4 weeks, then we have to start all over with treatments and hopefully, that her kidney will stay healthy. With genetic testing we will wait until study is available.

Hi everyone.
We had been busy with summer.

In our town movie theaters playing free movies and i love taking kids there, even they already seen them, but they love it.

Anna is been doing very well with her treatments and she is a little upsad about not allowing her to swim. She is trying every time other kids in the pool bugging me about it, in hope i will let her go in "sorry girl, that won't work'. i can understand her it is not fair to her, but there is what we have to do.
Last wed. on 24th we had Starlight Family night out. Kids had so much fun decorating canvas, for one company. They will be making bags for Starlight foundation.

Today we had Special Olympics. Anna and Louisa got to sing National Anthem and did some other volunteering. My group did very well and i am very prod of them.

We had our trip to Portland yesterday, for Anna't treatments. It went very well, Anna's labs are staying up for last 2 week. They stopped her epogen(blood buster)and she will be off until her labs will start go down. It is so exiting to have less medications and i hope it would be stay that way, so she won't need it.
Our plans for now is her treatment once a week with no changes. Sometimes i want to ask our Dr. if we can go to every other week, but we just wait a little more before we go that direction. There is also new medication will be available very soon and we hopping to get Anna in to the study for it. It is very promising and Anna will have more normal life like any other kids.

Sorry for not updating for awhile.
Anna is doing well, she receiving treatments once a week. We cancel her Iron IV drips it is been great to just go for one treatment.
Anna had her 11th birthday she got ticket to live "American Idol" concert. Boys went to visit their friends, so we had house full of girls. We did few sleepovers, one weekend she had her school friends overnight. I usually is not favor of that, because not knowing their families i didn't know what to expect. I was surprised how well everything went, they watch movies, play WII, dress ups. Second weekend she had her friends overnight, she had fun playing with them and i did take them to the movie. They all had fun!!!
Sorry i can't post pictures right now, out laptop got stolen few weeks ago from the hospital.
I will post pictures later today, as right now i am waiting for Anna to finish her treatment.

HI everyone, it is been a wile since i updated.
Most exiting news is that her treatments are down to once a week. They stop Iron IV infusions and down to one medication for her blood pressure.
Anna is going to school 4 day's a week and every Wed. she gets her treatment. On last visit to the hospital someone stole our laptop ;-( We try ed to find it, but no luck. We will have to replace it, because Anna is using that for her school during her treatments.
Anna turn 11 yesterday, she had great day. It started with skipping her school, go to IHOP for breakfast. After everyone got home from school we went to see a movie and pizza. She got for her birthday tickets to "American Idol concert"
Last weekend we had first HOT weeklend and we got to go to our Oregon beach BRRRR it was cold there, but everyone had so much fun

Last few weeks on Facebook I met parents who has kids with Atypical HUS. It is been great to contact other parents who has kids with Atypical HUS kids. Some parents have little kids, some are older, some are lost their kidney function, some had small % left. This disease is so different and there no one alike. There is new medication available it called Soliris, it is been tried on three people. I got to talk to one mom on the phone and that was awesome to hear who understands what this disease does to our kids and be able to find more information for my self.
Anna is doing great still on her plasmapheresis, i really hopping that our doctor will let Anna skip her treatment on her Birthday. Did i told u her birthday is coming up this month and she will be 11yr. old. Someone came up with idea to send Anna pictures wishing her Birthday and we will put them on Anna's door, so she knows how many people praying for her healing. We had great and busy weekend.
First we had family time with Starlight foundation. Every month they try to plan some fun stuff for family's with terminal ill kids. This time we went to Portland children theater,

We had Carrissa and her sister Shyanne to stay with us overnight.

Girls had a blast, this was Carrissa's first time to stay with us and she did great. Some of you know she was born with Spina Befida and had over 50 surgeries. On Sunday we took all the kids to my friends house and had Birthday Party for her twins they just turn 11.

Yesterday we had our trip to DCH for her treatments. It went well she had a little low blood pressure and her labs just still go down and up. It seems we can't get them just stay up. She met ballerinas there.

Anna is doing well.
She still get her treatments twice a week and they went up on her iron IV dose. They not even thinking to lower her plasma treatment even her blood levels staying up.
She did hurt her back last week, but it getting better. Anna's Birthday is coming up on May22, I would like to do something special for her. Anyone have any ideas?
I want to thank everyone who donates plasma. Anna gets 6-7 bags for each treatment, that is 6-7 people each time.

A few weeks ago we talked with our Dr. about weaning Anna off from Iron treatments. They went down to once a week, we got blood and iron results today. Her blood level is staying good, but her Iron went down. This got everyone surprised. So we are back to Iron treatments twice a week. Please continue to pray for her Iron level to go up and for Gods healing.

We had great weekend, there was some ups and down. I think everyone have those times. Anna is been having setbacks, when she wanted to just do her favorite sport Gymnastics. So on Saturday she decided to go and play on trumpline it was OK until her back started to hurt. Wee know she just pull her muscle, but we still had to take her to ER to make sure her line still in place and it is.
She still goes to the hospital twice a week for her treatment. Last month when we did iron test her Iron went up from 4 to 9, and today it was 8 rrrrrr. It looks like we will have to get more iron in to her.

Hi, everyone we had busy week last week. Last Monday after Anna's treatment clamp on her like broke, so they had to replace her line. On Thursday she met with designers at NIKE and pick out some things for her shoes.

Did anyone ever see this speed limit?

On Friday she had her surgery, they decided to put totally different line and Anna really likes this one. It much softer and it doesn't hurt her.

Our Easter went pretty well we visited with my sister in law and kids had lots of fun.
Here are my worries:
Her labs are stable, but there is a little number that makes me worry and doctor thinks it is OK right now. As a mom i am worry about it, because with Anna it is in a matter of day's, everything can crash and she can gets admitted. We just take day at a time to see what will bring next visit.

Well this we didn't even expected. Anna's line is not usable at this moment. One of her clamps on her line is broken, so it has to be replaced. We waiting for phone call from doctors to let us know when surgery will take place. Anna's next treatment is on Friday, so i think they will try to get it done on same day before the treatment. They did wanted to do on Thursday, but Anna has to go to NIKE and she doesn't want to miss it, so her doctors are ok with it.

Sorry for not blogging this week, i need it a little brake. Everyone here got overwhelm with things going on.
Anna has some good day's some bad and is not heath is her emotional side. She is very tired with everything she has to do and go to the hospital. On Friday she had totally emotional breakdown at the hospital. She was walking to school room and we saw one of her favorite doctors and she start crying saying to her that she just wants to sleep and not deal with it. Rest of the day was not her day, her line still didn't work properly and it took long time to finish her treatment. Then we didn't got her Iron or epogen because it was too late, so she should get that that on Monday.

This coming week on Monday they will be sending genetic testing, we are very exited that this is finally will be happening. On Thursday Anna will be starting working with NIKE designer to make her shoe.

It is spring brake here and we have a nice weather to keep kids outside.
Kids had friends over everyday. My oldest Louisa had one friend stay overnight last night, they decided to stay up all night. I got up this morning, they still chatting and playing at 7am.
Today Anna has her friend over night, then early in the morning we have to go to Doernbecher children hospital for her treatment. Boys Enoch and Misha is having fun with their friends. Originally i didn't plan to have big crowd of kids in my house because of Anna, but i think that is good for them to visit with each other.
Another night Anna and Misha were playing outside and they stayed there for awhile, but when they got back, Misha was very happy asked me to guess what they were doing there. I don't think anyone will ever guess what they did. Then finally they told me that they were playing IN RECYCLING BINS. I ask Anna if she was thinking if that is ok and safe thing to do, but Anna's and Misha's answer it was FUN. Kids are kids.....

Today Anna got to go to her first meeting for designing NIKE shoes. It was very interesting. Anna will have a lots of fun to work with designers on her shoes and it will be available for purchase in November.

Tomorrow... hmmm.. I been waiting to hear what our plans for tomorrow (Friday) with Anna's line. I didn't hear anything until we went to visit out favorite nurse that does Anna's treatments. They told us that we have to be there at 8am, that means we have to leave our house before 7am, it got me a little frustrated, I didn't plan to leave my kids that early in the morning. If i didn't stop by to visit, then we won't know and we would be there at 10am. hmmmm. This is pretty much how our days run, we never know what will be next, but it would be kinda a little better if we can plan something.

Our week is been a little busy this time. Anna had 2 day's of treatments and on Wednesday she had to go back to get stitches on her line. Today her line still give us a trouble it took 3 hours to get her treatment done. On Monday they will check line, they will have to put dye in it to see if it works properly. She still gets IV iron, on Monday we should be able to know if her iron is going up.

There are few things came up we would like everyone to pray:
1. Anna's line is been giving problems and it kept wanted to twist, so on Monday it just ripped her stitches off. Right now we are waiting from our doctor to hear from her what they want to be done. Usually when stitches come off, then they don't worry about it because it is stay's secure. In Anna's case it never stays, because she is allergic to regular dressing. there 2 thing the can do, put new stitches again or the can put new line in.
2. There is study going on and our doctor want Anna to be in it. To participate in it Anna has to be 12yr. old but she will 11 in May. The company think they might be able to let Anna to be in it, but they will do everything as she is 12.

Our Hi: This is first time Anna got flu and didn't got admitted last weekend. We got a letter from "Make a wish" foundation with welcome letter. Anna and rest of the kids can't wait to meet them. We got all the money we need for Anna's genetic testing :-) Praise God!!!

Our low: Anna's blood levels still staying the same, the good thing they are not dropping, but we would like to see them go up. She looks very pale and requires to wear mask, she doesn't like that idea at all. Our kids having hard time with everything going on, they starting asking Q: When this will be over, why Anna hast to be sick and..... It is very hard on them and on us as parents, we don't really have answers to their questions.

We love our Foundation and we thank them for all the activities they do for families. Between trip to the hospital with Anna we don't get much to do us a family, so the foundation help us to get out of our house and do something. Even our doctors sometimes making sure, that Anna will be able to attend if she can.

Pray for us: Anna's labs continue stay the same, we would like to see her blood levels to go up. Also i want ask u to pray for my mom in Russia, she is having hard time with my brother and my step dad (they both have some drinking problems),it is very hard on me, because i can't be there to help her.

Pray for others: For Anna's little friend Lilly, she is fighting very rare cancer, there is no cure for it. Don't forget to pray for Abba she is in the hospital right now.

Anna been sick all night last night and now she is running fever. I will be taking her to the hospital and she will be admitted for at least 48 hr.

Please continue to pray for Anna. Anna is doing better, but we have sick kids at home and we praying that Anna won't catch anything. Last time when she just got a little sick, that set her health back. Her labs went down and almost wiped iron in her body. And also for are whole family.

For others: My friend Cristy she will have her baby today, dr. predicting that there a chance that he will have short arms and legs. Pray for healthy boy and no complications during c-section
Also pray for Abby , she is fighting cancer.

Anna want "Anonymous" to know that she did receive your daughter gift. She was very surprised and excited. Thank you very much she loves it. I didn't tell her that i ask everyone to cheer her up, i think she will have a great week knowing that everyone wishing her to get better.

Our hi: this week is Anna got treatment only twice this week, she is been attending band with out any complains and being there on time. She stayed at school all day and she didn't had to call me;-)

Our low: On Monday Anna got only part of her treatment and we found out our results today that was a BIG mistake. Her blood level dropped again, she might will need blood transfusion this weekend.
We waiting for God provide financially for her genetic testing. We need it all your prayers for blood levels stay up until we can send it.

2. For me get better before tomorrow. I am sick with nasty cold and can't be around Anna and tomorrow she will need to get to the hospital for her treatments.

1. My friend Christi, she will be having her baby next week. The dr. just found out that baby arms and legs are to short. Please pray that baby won't have any problems and he will be normal healthy baby.

It is already almost end of February.
Anna finally started to go twice a week and we hoping she will stay this way and get better every week. It seems she will take step forward and two steps back it is been very hard recovery this time. After they give her iron and other medications last week her blood levels finally starting to go up. Now we have to wait for funds to come to get her genetic testing done. I have a little ticker on the right side, so everyone know how far until we reach our goal.
Today treatment went ok, there were few problems. Anna's line was working very slow and it kept twisting, so she was in a lots of pain. Then they forgot to order her iron and other medications treatment, so she didn't got them today. We hoping that her labs will stay well until Thursday.

Here is update:

Most of you know that Anna's genetic testing will not be covered, Anna had really hard time with this news in fear of what will happen now. We had a long talk with her, that God will provide fund for it.

Anna had her treatment on Thursday and got her first dose of iron, it went pretty well.

Our dr. concern is Anna been in school and other public places. We even got to talk about "Bubble boy" movie, where the boy he lived in the bubble. Not that they want to put her there, it just to compare....I told them i can't put her in the bubble, we want her to have as much normal life as possible. She is already lost her gymnastics, she want to do other things, it just won't be fair for her live like this and not to participate in anything. It will be hard for her to see everyone go play and she has to sit at home. Last time when she got small cold she end up in the hospital for whole week and wiped her blood and iron down. There is still mystery why iron wend down so fast with in 2 weeks, usually kids that get blood transfusions get too much of iron. Our most prayers right now is to get fund for Anna's genetic testing, with out that we won't really know what is going on with her with her blood, there is a lots of Q and everyone hope to get it from the genetic results. Right now we just do treatments and support her body with anything that she is missing.

We know our God is much stronger then anyone here and we praying that he will show everyone His healing in Anna very soon.

I (Sveta) had a hard week for my self, feeling i want to just turn around and see all this being gone and have a normal family life. I am tired with all the things being going on.

Or Low: Our insurance refused Anna's genetic testing, so we praying that God will provide amount that we need. Anna's iron i very low she has to get iron IV every time she gets treatment.

The insurance said yes, and then said no. They would like prayer for God's provision to have this testing done as soon as possible. Anna's red cell count is low and she needs a blood transfusion, but if she receives a transfusion, she cannot have her blood drawn for this test for at least two weeks (as it will mess up the test with donated blood).

Timing is important, as each new episode is causing more damage to her body and is harder to recover from, and also as she is going to need a blood transfusion.

This genetic test costs $2500. If any are able and led to donate for this thru paypal account for donations or contact me at my e-mail svetikf1@msn.com If you can pass our prayer request to your friends. Every little bit will help.

PLEASE PRAY FOR ANNA TOMORROW , THURSDAY , TOO. She is to have her regular treatments (plasma phoresis) and also is to receive an iron treatment to try and build her red blood count up WITHOUT a blood transfusion (so she can get the genetic blood testing done).

All of these treatments have the potential of an allergic reaction as she has had in the past. Please pray that this will not happen and that all will go well.

We got bad news about coverage on Anna's genetic testing. They are refused it to pay for it, we will need help with it. Please pray for my friend Alisha. She adopted a little boy he was then 18 mo. old and now he is 5 and he is having major behavior problems.

Please pray for Abby as this week goes by. The nasty chemo she got yesterday will hit her in a few days. Historically, it puts her through another round of excruciating sores and serious complications. After 21 times in the hospital, we kinda know what to anticipate. Please pray for her comfort, speedy recover, survival, and healing.

We had out treatment today and it went well. Because of holiday today we had another doctor.
Anna's platelets went up, but hematocrit still going down. They did test on Iron and we found out, that is very, very low and now we know why her blood can't go up. Right now we will need to get her iron up, so we have daily pill to take for it, but that will take a long time to get it up. Tonight i been writing e-mails to our dr. to see if there any other options available, to help her body get iron up. Other great news is we will be doing her treatment only twice this week!!!

Anna is doing great!!
Yesterday treatment went well, her numbers didn't go up, but they give her medication to help her body build up blood cells. They never give her that before, so we will see if that will do the trick to prevent her from getting blood transfusion.

Hi for us is we finally got approved for genetic testing and most existing for that it will be done in Germany. Yesterday during her treatment we told that news to our nurses at the clinic,and they ALL cheer Anna for it. Everyone will be waiting to hear results in 3 weeks after we will send it.

Our LOW
I think i never share that, but we all very tired with all medical things going on. I feel i am very burned down with trips and not be able to get things done. There is no support from my DH family and that makes even more harder.

Our prayer for us this week is this:
Anna's labs will stay where they need to be, so far her platelets going tooo high and her kidney functions kinda up and down. Sometimes even our dr. does not know what to do, because this s only treatment available, so we have to wait and see. If we start twice a week there possibilities that her blood will start go down again and she will need it to be admitted. Please pray that God will bring healing to Anna's body and give wisdom to our doctors.

We got approved for genetic testing in Germany. Now we will have to wait about a week to draw her blood for testing, because she got her blood transfusion last week. After that they will be sending her blood to Germany and we should have all the results with in 3 weeks. :-)

Carrissa had her spine surgery yesterday it went very well and she is ready to go home today. What a fast recovery for her!!

Right before Anna got admitted in the hospital we had "Starlight Foundation" family night out.

Last week went great. We got home on Tuesday. I didn't had our car, so we had to get someone to give us ride home it did took awhile to find someone, but we made it. We had to go back on next day and on Friday for her treatment. They all went pretty well with no problems and we will be continue 3 day a week for next week.
We are approved for genetic testing to be done her in state, but this will take 3 month, but our dr. A trying to get testing done in Germany, they do only in 3 weeks.

Here are some prayer request:
1. Her treatment will go well this week and her numbers will be up, so we can move on to twice a week.
2. Anna's genetic testing
3. For my other kids as some of them having hard time and my husband Harlan.
4. Carrissa will have spine surgery tomorrow at 2pm. We hopping it will go with out complications and fast full recovery.
